DONATE

The regular generosity of our parishioners and friends is essential to the ministries and to the continuing existence of St John on the Mountain. The information below is the result of requests from those supporters. By no means will it replace our personal expressions of gratitude.  Thank you.

MAKE A PLEDGE

Faithful stewardship of this community, which in this context means the gift and care of our financial resources, makes our common life possible. Everyone has a faithful gift to make, and we invite you to support the work and ministry of St John on the Mountain in Bernardsville and in the world. Thank you for your faithful stewardship.

PLANNED GIVING

Planned giving is a generous and effective way of ensuring the future vibrancy of St John on the Mountain. It also allows many to make a larger gift than they otherwise could give. When you make a bequest of any size to SJOTM in your will, through a trust arrangement, or through a retirement or life insurance plan, you become a member of the Mountain Society.

FLOWERS FOR SERVICE

Donations for flowers can be given in memorial, in celebration, or in thanksgiving for a person, ministry, or event. The church is decorated on Sundays only when donations have been made. Special offerings are made to decorate the church for Christmas and Easter. If you would like to give a flower donation, please contact Sue Kennedy.

Giving to St John on the Mountain

All we are, and all we have, is a gift from God.

There are a variety of gifts, the Scriptures tell us, and the same Spirit within all of them.  Our time and our talents are important ways we respond to God’s call to fellowship and ministry.  These gifts are critically necessary for our life together, and yet on their own are not sufficient to accomplish all that God desires for us, our parish, our city, and our world.

We have a sense that the Holy Spirit is up to something new and renewing on the Mountain and we believe that when each of us offers our best gifts to follow that energy, we will have all we need to do what God calls us to do.

You can make a planned gift  in a number of tax-beneficial ways. Please consult with your attorney or financial adviser for guidance in determining the planned gift approach that is right for you and your family.

Gifts by Check or Credit
