St. John's Nursery School
St. John's Nursery School offers an organized educational environment that focuses on the development of the "whole" child. We strive to enhance the growth and development of each child’s social, emotional, spiritual, intellectual and physical skills in a supportive and nurturing atmosphere.
We believe each day brings opportunities for love, learning and laughter. We facilitate the child’s successful transition from home to school, and partner with parents to develop the child’s independence, self-confidence and love of learning so each child has a solid foundation for continued success in kindergarten and school.
Our primary goal is to foster the social, emotional and physical growth of each child. In addition, daily opportunities are provided for enrichment of the child’s intellectual and perceptual self. We encourage parent-teacher cooperation to promote growth at the individual child’s rate.
St. John's follows a normal pre-school program; supervised free play, creative activities, story time, music, snack, circle time and field trips.

The Church of St. John on the Mountain is an Episcopal Parish
In addition to providing the school with its facilities, the church supports St. John's Nursery School in a number of ways. The school's curriculum while not religious in nature does include certain aspects of religious life including a blessing before snacks, and observance of various religious holidays. We welcome all students and their families to share their faith with the school regardless of religious affiliation.
